Lunchtime yesterday?
I am sure he is all right. I am sure it is merely a case of misunderstanding. Perhaps Miss Burbage is mistaken; perhaps he is simply busy with a project in his bedroom, or is in the Infirmary for some mild illness. Surely that is it.
Bellatrix is, after all, not within the walls of this school. And no one else in Slytherin is of the temperament, or else does not care very much about my status.
And so there is no need to worry. Clearly there is a rational explanation and, should I allow myself to worry, I shall be ashamed of it in due course. Imagine, worrying so over a query from a near-stranger!
I think I shall go to the Infirmary. I am sure he is there. Perhaps it was something he ate at lunch. I am sure he will laugh at me for being concerned at all. Besides, I have not seen Madame Pomfrey in several days, which is very remiss of me after she has been so kind this year.
